This is a sew in product. It is both washable and dry-cleanable

We use 2 layers in the dress panels , with only one layer sewn into the seams

The strips on top layers are boning which keeps the panels from bending. It is a vinyl coated metal product which is not sold in retail stores. Regular dress boning is made to curve with the body and tends to eventually curl in the dress.
